The Civil Defence Commission (CDC) stands poised to complete regional Disaster Risk Management (DRM) training in the four remaining regions after having completed the first of these sessions in Region Eight on Sunday.
Eighteen persons were trained as Shelter Managers; 18 persons were trained in Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis and 21 persons were trained as Emergency Operations Centre Managers, when the CDC training team travelled to Mahdia, Region Eight (Potaro-Siparuni) for the one-week session which was held from June 16-23, the Commission said in a press release.
