The Ministry of Public Works today said that it will begin the demolition and removal of all encroachments on the Public Road Reserve tomorrow, June 28th, 2013.
A notice in today’s Guyana Chronicle said that the campaign will target but not be limited to buildings or portions of buildings, barbershops, mobile vending carts, small stands, fences, business signs, unauthorized concrete work, derelict vehicles, construction material/builders waste.
The notice said that the campaign will begin with the East Bank Demerara, Sheriff Street/Mandela Avenue and the East Coast Demerara.
