A man and two women were taken into police custody yesterday and 250 grams of cocaine and six kilograms, 870 grams of cannabis sativa (marijuana) were seized in separate raids carried out in two Georgetown communities. Police, in a release yesterday said that the discoveries were made after ranks from the Guyana Police Force, Narcotics Branch descended on two houses in North East La Penitence and one at Albouystown, Georgetown.
Investigations are ongoing and police say that the three persons apprehended in yesterday’s raid are assisting.
