Marlon Hackett, 41, is recovering at the West Demerara Regional Hospital (WDRH) after suffering major head trauma when a vehicle struck him down on Sunday evening along the West Demerara Public Road.
Hackett’s aunt, Patricia, told Stabroek News that her nephew was recovering. “The swelling in his head is down and he is doing very good,” she said, while adding that the family was very concerned that he would not recover. At the same time, she admitted that she was not sure if he was out of the danger zone quite yet. She noted that the family will go and visit him again today and hopefully the doctors would have some good news.
His accident occurred hours after the family lost Patricia’s estranged husband, Jerome Hackett, 60, after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a culvert along the Dem Amstel Public Road, West Coast Demerara.
