Dear Editor,
I wish to bring to your attention that a hive of Africanized bees is in the old health centre at Supenaam. These bees can viciously attack people who are travelling to Georgetown by speedboat and are very dangerous.
In fact, Africanized bees have been known to respond viciously to mundane occurrences, including noises or even vibrations from vehicles and equipment. Nothing has been done to clear the giant hive in this dilapidated building. The bees service at the Ministry of Agriculture has disappeared over the past decade on the Essequibo Coast, but residents would like the relevant authority to get rid of these killer bees.
Yours faithfully,
Mohamed Khan
