Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited has announced that it made three management appointments in May.
In a press release, the Bank said Erica Jeffrey was appointed Manager, Branch Support services on May 27. Jeffrey started her career with Republic Bank in July 1990 and over the years has served in a number of key capacities at its main branch.
Prior to this appointment, she held the position of Manager’s Assistant–Branch Operations, which has given her a wide-ranging understanding of the bank’s systems and procedures. Jeffrey holds the Institute of Canadian Bankers Letter of Accomplishment and has completed training in the Canadian Securities Institute – Introduction to Bank Financial Management.
The Bank also announced that Jadoonauth Persaud was appointed Manager- Branch Operations on May 23. He joined the Bank in June 1995 and has gained much banking experience, particularly in Retail Credit and Branch Management. Prior to this appointment, Persaud served as Manager of the Water Street Operations and preceding this, manager of the Rose Hall and Corriverton branches. He holds a Diploma in Banking and Finance from the University of Guyana (UG) and a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Business.
Meanwhile, Celine Davis assumed the post of Manager of the bank’s Water Street Operations on May 20, having previously held the position of Manager, Branch Support Services. Davis’s extensive tenure with the Bank, which includes exposure at every level, particularly in a leadership capacity in recent years, has aptly prepared her for success in this new role, the bank said. Davis holds the Institute of Canadian Bankers – Letter of Accomplishment, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in development Studies, both from UG and a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from the University of London.
