(Jamaica Gleaner) – There was a major development in one of Vybz Kartel’s murder trials yesterday afternoon.
The trial in which he is accused of killing businessman Barrington ‘Bossy’ Burton was unable to get underway in the Home Circuit Court this morning because of the absence of the case file.
When the matter was called up the prosecution told the court that it could not locate the document.
The trial was then rescheduled to today.
Lenburgh McDonald and Nigel Thompson are also on trial in relation to the killing of the St Catherine businessman.
The police say Burton was murdered while he was standing with friends along Walker’s Avenue in Gregory Park, St. Catherine in July 2011.
Kartel and his co-accused were charged in October 2011.
