The police say they are investigating reports that at about 2245h. last night, licensed firearm holder Tyrone Lewis, 23 years, of Bartica, was at a night spot at Bartica when he accidentally discharged a round from his firearm which struck Keshana Barnes, 18 years, of Farm, EBE, to her right foot.
Another male patron confronted Lewis concerning the incident during which he is reported to have made efforts to pull out the firearm, and during which he accidentally shot himself to his buttocks.
Both Lewis and Barnes have been admitted patients at the Bartica Hospital.
The firearm has been seized by the police.
