At about 2215h last night, police say that miner Glendon Parks, 27 years, of Santa Mission, Essequibo Coast, was involved in an argument with another man on a floating mining dredge at Kangaruma, Middle Mazaruni River, during which he was stabbed to his chest.
Parks fell overboard and his body has not yet been recovered.
The suspect has been arrested and is in police custody.
