LIAT airline has cancelled flights LI 773 from Barbados to Guyana and LI774 from Guyana to Barbados effective immediately because of operational reasons.
Corporate Communications Specialist for the airline Desmond Brown told Stabroek News last evening that his company regrets the inconvenience, while explaining that the move was to facilitate operational procedures. The cancellations would last until sometime in August.
He said that at passengers booked on those flights would not be affected as they would be transferred to other daily flights that the airline has scheduled to the destinations affected.
Persons booked to travel on the flights mentioned are asked to call their local LIAT office or the LIAT call Center from Antigua on telephone number 1-268-480-5582. The rest of the Caribbean can call toll free on 1-888-844-5428 and those in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands 1-866-549-5428 for further information.
