SSignal jazz and soul concert set for August 5

SSignal Productions is commemorating the 250th anniversary of the 1763 Berbice Slave Rebellion and the 175th year of Emancipation, with a Jazz and Soul Concert billed for the Umana Yana on August 5.

According to a press release, the concert will honour several black artistes such as Etta James, Bob Marley, The Temptations, War, Earth Wind and Fire, Natalie Cole, Nat King Cole, Al Jarreau, Anita Baker, Whitney Houston,

Eddy Grant, Marvin Gaye and others.

The concert will feature the Impromptu Band and the artistes scheduled to perform are Bonny Alves, Charmaine Blackman, Candace Field, Eze Rockcliffe, Lisa Punch, Devon Denny, Sonia Barrow, Yohan Jackman, Michelle Gobin, and Circle of Love.

Admission is $1,500 and all are welcome to be a part of this special event.
