Pakistan beat West Indies by six wickets in fourth ODI

BEAUSEJOUR, St.Lucia,  CMC – A responsible knock by captain Misbah Ul-Haq and a fluent half century by Mohammad Hafeez piloted Pakistan to a six wicket win over West Indies by the Duckworth Lewis method despite a brilliant unbeaten hundred by Man of the Match Marlon Samuels.

There was a lot of activity in the village of Britannia, West Coast Berbice on Saturday afternoon, with some rice farmers returning home on their tractors and other persons tending to their livestock.

National pre-cadet table tennis squad named

A 34-member National Pre-cadet Table Tennis squad has been named and is set to commence preparation in view of selection by the Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) for the 8th Caribbean Pre-cadet Table Tennis championship billed for Guyana from August 10-15.

Boyce and Jefford Classic for August 17-18

Guyana’s biggest track and field competition, the Boyce and Jefford Classic IV is being staged at two venues this year—the Police Sports Club and Mackenzie Sports Club, Linden—and will attract top class local and regional athletes come August 17 and 18.
