The Ministry of Agriculture has advised that a spring tide advisory will be effective from today July 21 until July 27 and is advising all those with marine interests to be cautious during this period.
The spring tide today is expected at 2.28pm at a height of 3.10m according to a release from the ministry. The ministry is also advising that low-lying areas should take precautions.
The inter-tropical convergence zone is over the coast of Guyana and is expected to remain for the next 24 hours the release added. As a result, rainfall is expected to continue over the coastline during this period.
