BK Western Tigers, compliments of a Malachi Adonis five-goal haul, blanked Santos FC 5-0 as action in the Fruta Conquerors sponsored U-13 Football Tournament continued at the Tucville Community Centre ground yesterday.
Adonis opened his account in the third minute through a simple tap in, from within the six-yard area following a saved penalty strike by the Santos custodian.
The lanky target man doubled his tally on the resumption of the second period in the 37th minute with a right-footed effort unmarked in the six-yard area.
He completed his hat trick nine minutes later with a powerful right-footed strike from outside the 18-yard area that comically slipped on the legs of the Santos shot stopper.
The lopsided encounter continued with further goals in the 48th and 58th minutes by the imposing Adonis to seal the much needed three points for the West Ruimveldt side.
Meanwhile, a Jeremy Garrett brace in the 27th and 43rd minutes propelled Fruta Conquerors to a 2-0 win over Bourda-based unit, the Georgetown Football Club (GFC).
In the final encounter of the day, Campbellville outfit Camptown FC led by a Tukwan Gladstone double in the second and 36th minutes needled Fruta Conquerors ‘A’ by a 2-1 margin. Tyrese Crawford was on target for the losing Tucville unit in the 35th minute.
