A man was charged on Friday for allegedly entering another man’s yard and picking his coconuts.
Devon Nichols was placed on $5,000 bail after denying the charge that on July 18, at Georgetown, he went into the fenced yard of Michael Lewis and picked coconuts, which were valued at $600.
The prosecution indicated to Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry that the facts were as charged, after which no further details of what transpired on the day in question were presented to the court.
After the magistrate set bail, she transferred the case to Court Ten, where it will be called today.
