I write to bring to your attention a particularly ominous situation being perpetrated by a prominent resident in the community.
This gentleman has been occupying illegally that portion of reserved land situated at the extreme south of New Providence which is adjacent to Lot 7. He has constructed two insanitary buildings which he uses as living quarters for a number of workers. He has provided an outdoor pit latrine which necessitates visits by a waste disposal vehicle at least twice weekly. He has established a permanent garbage dumpsite; in fact he has reduced that area to what can only be described as an obnoxious slum, degrading what was once prime residential property. This situation has been permitted to continue for at least three years, thereby creating the possibility of prescriptive occupation.
Quite clearly this gentleman has shown contempt for all other residents and a callous disregard for the preservation of hygienic surroundings. He has also demonstrated his contempt for the bylaws regarding public roadways, by illegally utilizing extensive sections of parapet adjacent to the recently reconstructed Mocha Road.
