The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) in collaboration with the National Sports Commission (NSC) will today resume its nationwide School Cricket Coaching programme at the Mahaicony Centre Ground.
The programme, which began in May this year and has been held in various parts of the country including Eccles, Buxton, Lusignan and Timehri is being conducted by Coach, Daniel Richmond.
According to Richmond, the aim of the endeavour is to teach school children currently involved or will be taking up the sport, the fundamentals of batting, bowling and fielding.
Richmond has noted that the areas he worked with showed promise and the young cricketers were 100 percent involved in learning and understanding the game. He also acknowledged the support received thus far from students, teachers and parents alike.
The clinic is expected to commence at 15:00hrs.
