The Ministry of Amerindian Affairs yesterday afternoon presented the community of Orealla, Region Six with a replacement part for the community’s generator.
A release from the Government Information Agency said the equipment was damaged after the radiator that cools the engine ran dry.
GINA said that the $377,000 replacement part will see the community’s electricity woes coming to an end.
Orealla Toshao, Floyd Edwards expressed gratitude to Government for delivering on its promise in a timely manner.
He said that the part will resolve the electricity problems that the community has been facing for the past few months. “This will make the plant functional and back the service because in Orealla electricity is not a luxury anymore, it’s a lifestyle,” Toshao said.
