Doctors at the Georgetown Hospital up to press time last evening were battling to save the life of an Albouystown man who was shot in the chest.
The injured man has been identified as Shaquel Wilson aged 20 of James Street, Albouystown. The shooting occurred at the corners of Sussex and Barr Streets, also located in Albouystown. He arrived at the Georgetown Hospital at 9.12 pm with a single gunshot wound.
It is unclear what the motive was for the attack and from all indications the gunman had followed Wilson as he was shot shortly after he left home.
