With the commencement of the eighth annual Pre-Cadet Caribbean table Tennis championships just days away the Guyana Table tennis Association (GTTA) in its quest to run off a successful tournament has received some amount of sponsorship from a top insurance broker company in Guyana.
On Monday, P & P Insurance Brokers handed over cheque to the GTTA to assist in defraying expenses for the staging of the tournament which will be held at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
P & P Insurance Brokers boast a strong connection to the GTTA since two family members Vikash and Varsha Panday have represented this country at the junior level.
The company has also sponsored several tournaments in conjunction with the GTTA.
On Monday at the company’s King Street, Account Executive Samantha Singh said that the company was happy to come onboard and wished the GTTA the very best in hosting the tournament.
GTTA president and former national men’s singles champion Godfrey Munroe thanked P & P Insurance Brokers for its continued support pointing out that P & P Insurance Brokers has consistently supported the activities of the GTTA and the sport of table tennis over the years. He said that the company demonstrated the fulfillment of corporate responsibility adding that this was an example other organizations can emulate.

the impact and critical role it plays in the development of the game in terms of moulding of the new and emerging stars in Guyana and the Caribbean,” Munroe declared.
