A man was yesterday arraigned on a charge of forcing a 13-year-old boy to perform a sexual act.
The allegation against Eon Ferreira is that between September 1 and October 31, 2012 at Georgetown, he caused a child under the age of 16 to perform a sexual act, that is, to masturbate his penis.
When the indictable charge of sexual activity with a child under 16 years was read to Ferreira at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court he was not required to enter a plea. He was, however, admitted to $150,000 bail.
The proceedings were held in camera (to the exclusion of the public) both because a juvenile is involved and because of the nature of the charge.
