The man who was brought to the Accident and Emergency Unit of the Georgetown on Thursday after being involved in a motor vehicle accident and who succumbed the following day in the High Dependency Unit has been identified by relatives as Travis Wilson.
Wilson, 23, of Lot 693 Parfait Harmonie, West Bank Demerara was last seen on Wednesday night by his relatives who said that he would have left to go to work the following morning at Toolsie Persaud Limited.
After he failed to return home after work on Thursday evening, his mother said that they went to file a missing person’s report at the Kitty Police Station. She said that his sister inquired from one of his friends if he had seen the young man, and he told them that they had been hanging out on Thursday evening. But the relatives said that the story he is telling them does not make sense and they suspect that he may know more.
“One time he saying how he ain’t see Travis and that when we see he we must put two lash on he, and the next time he saying how they were smoking a joint at the four corner. If he see he the night then that ain’t make sense, because he died the morning. Something ain’t seem right about this story. Now he tell we how he leff to go up Essequibo late last night. After 6 nothing ain’t supposed to deh on the water; he know something,” Wilson’s sister said.
Wilson’s body is currently at the Georgetown Public Hospital morgue.
