The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) will open its 2013/2014 season today at the Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) ground, Bourda from 16:00hrs with two inter-association exhibition games.
While simply an exhibition of national talent, these fixtures will serve as the opening of the GFF inter-association championship which is slated to officially commence in September.
The opening will also set the tone for the federation’s nation’s cup and premier league tournament that are scheduled to follow shortly.
Following the conclusion of the opening ceremony, East Coast Football Association will lock horns with Upper Demerara Football Association in the opening matchup.
In the feature contest Georgetown Football Association will oppose West Demerara Football Association in a keenly anticipated fixture.
