Dear Editor,
I read Nigel Hughes’s apology in your Monday issue. I was grinding my teeth as I visually sifted through the mountain of hypocrisy spouted by someone who duped many Guyanese into trusting him. In short many of us were used by Mr Hughes. The entire episode serves to remind us that the propensity for personal gain has no bounds, class or political persuasion. There are many others with intentions to use. My hope is that we all learn from this and listen less to our politicians.
Yours faithfully,
C Hackman
