CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand, CMC-West Indies women will play eight matches, three One Day Internationals and five T20 games, against New Zealand next summer, the media here have reported.
The West Indies Women are scheduled to play the Auckland Hearts in a warmup fixture on February 23 before starting their tour with three ODIs against New Zealand at Christchurch’s Bert Sutcliffe Oval from February 26-March 2.
The first three T20 matches will be played at Invercargill’s Queens Park while the final two will be contested at Queenstown Event Centre. The tour is set to conclude on March 14 and includes a return leg in which New Zealand will tour the West Indies October next year to play three ODIs before England join in for a T20 tri-series.
A White Ferns squad of 14 is already in training for the tour: Suzie Bates (c, Otago), Erin Bermingham, Rachel Candy, Frances MacKay, Amy Satterthwaite, Lea Tahuhu (Canterbury), Sophie Devine, Sian Ruck (Wellington), Natalie Dodd, Nicola Browne, Morna Nielsen (Northern Districts), Rachel Priest (Central Districts), Maddy Green, Katie Perkins (Auckland).
