Action in the Slingerz/National Association for Women Football (NAWF) Gold for Goal football tournament continues today at the Blairmont Community Center (BCC) ground, Berbice with two slated fixtures.

The evening’s feature contest will see Georgetown powerhouse the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) locking horns with home side BCC Rosignol United at 20:30hrs in a keenly anticipated matchup. Due to the occupancy of the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) ground in Linden, matches that were scheduled for Friday 16th between Milerock and Topp XX and Slingerz FC and Netrockers have been rescheduled to Tuesday 20th at the same venue. Launched under the Stag brand, the tournament which commenced on Saturday August 10th will feature 16 male teams and 6 female sides competing within a grand simultaneous tourney. The winners of the male segment of the event will receive $2,000,000 and a trophy while second, third and fourth place finishers will earn $1,000,000, $500,000 and $300,000 and a trophies respectively.
