The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) has restarted the operations of its “Tax Hotline,” allowing members of the public access to tax specialists.
In a release issued yesterday, the GRA announced the recommencement of the service with immediate effect and urged members of the public to make full use of it.
It noted that the service was temporarily suspended during the transitional period of the agency’s consolidation and it apologised for any inconvenience the break in services may have caused.
It said persons who wish to have their tax questions and queries addressed can contact the GRA’s tax specialists using the Tax Hotline 227-6060 Ext. 1201, 1202, 1203 and 1204. The service can be accessed from 8am to 4:30pm from Monday to Thursday and on Friday from 8am to 3:30pm. After hours persons can leave a detailed messaged, including a contact number and a tax specialist will return the call. The GRA said too that the GRA’s tax specialists can also be contacted via email address gravat@gra.gov.gy.
Earlier this year, the GRA also made the decision to extend its service hours and it said that with this increase in time, taxpayers are now be able to access services during the busy lunch hour period.
