The body of a man was found at Westminster, Parfait Harmonie this morning with injuries about his body, Crime Chief Seelall Persaud has confirmed.
Robert Manna, 55, who had marks of violence about his body, was found lying in a pool of water in front of a friend’s yard.
Relatives told Stabroek News that Manna had gone to drink at the friend’s house yesterday and did not return.
“While we are treating it using procedures we use in cases of murder, we have not concluded as yet that it is murder,” Persaud told Stabroek News.
A police official in `D’ Division, which has jurisdiction for the investigation, added that the man was found on Third Street, Westminster.
The body is presently at the Georgetown Hospital Morgue.
