Dear Editor,
As a former worker of the Mahaica-Mahaicony-Abary/Agricultural-Development-Authority (MMA/ADA) who worked from 1984 to 2008 for a period of 24 consecutive years, I am entitled to my gratuity and pension.
I am collecting a monthly pension but I have not gotten my gratuity. I have been getting pushed around for the past five years to obtain my money.
I spoke to the General Manager, Mr Aubrey Charles in 2010 and he referred me to the Chairman, Mr Rudolph Gajraj who in turn told me to contact then Minister of Agriculture, Robert Persaud.
The Minister told me that I would be paid at an early date but I still have not received the money. I wrote the present Minister of Agriculture, Dr Leslie Ramsammy during last year but I have not gotten a reply.
In May of this year, I again contacted Mr Gajraj and he recommended 25% of the sum until the Ministry of Finance releases the money to pay the gratuity.
I would be grateful if you can publish this letter so that those in authority can kindly release my money.
Yours faithfully,
Stanley Rodney
