PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC- Trinidad and Tobago Red Force will play two matches against Windward Islands in Dominica this weekend as they continue preparations for the Champions League T20 in India later this month.
The matches Friday and Saturday are part of at least four remaining warm-up fixtures lined up for the Red Force before leaving for India.
Darren Bravo and Sunil Narine will both be part of the T&T squad for those games after being rested for the warm-up matches against Guyana last weekend.
“We now head to Dominica for two more competitive games. We are always trying to find the right combination and these matches will help us to do that before we get to India,” said Coach David Williams.
“Narine and Bravo are back in the team and that will strengthen the squad also”.
Red Force suffered a 10 run defeat to Guyana to level a two-match warm-up series after winning the first game by ten runs last weekend.
The Champions League Twenty20 starts on September 17 in India.
“In the second game we faltered a bit in the batting and the death bowling. It was not as good as it should have been but all in all it was good performance,” said Williams.
“After losing three wickets for four runs, we came back well to post a good total but we did rest some of our key players”.
T&T leave for Dominica tomorrow with matches scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
