A 29-year-old La Grange, West Coast Demerara resident yesterday died on the spot after the vehicle he was travelling in slammed into a utility pole at Crane Public Road, West Coast Demerara.

La Grange was reportedly returning home at around 12:00 hrs after a night out with friends.
At his home relatives and friends had gathered to offer their sympathy to his family. His father said he did not know anything about the accident other than his son was in his Alteeza car.
Twenty-year-old Masud Khan, a bank teller who witnesses said was the driver of the vehicle, is currently hospitalised.
According to reports, Hussain, Khan and another friend were returning home when Khan lost control of the vehicle and it crashed into a utility pole at a dangerous turn on the Crane Public Road.
Hussain leaves to mourn his parents and siblings.
