Contracts for $47 million worth of works at the University of Guyana were cleared by Cabinet last week.
This was disclosed by Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Dr Roger Luncheon at a press conference on Friday.
Work to the tune of $15 million is to be done to campus buildings and another $32 million is to be spent on footpaths and bridges on campus. In recent years, UG unions and students have complained about the state of the buildings on campus.
