President of the Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) Gokarn Ramdhani was on Saturday elected to the executive of the Caribbean Regional Badminton Confederation (CAREBACO) at the regional body’s annual general meeting held at the Sheraton Hotel, San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Ramdhani will serve as secretary of the body for the 2013-2015 term of office while Jamaica’s Audley Astwood was elected president.
The other elected officials are Generoso Castillo of the Dominican Republic –vice president and Dionne Haynes of Barbados – treasurer. The Committee Members are Trinidad’s Zeudi Mack, Suriname’s Raydon Coulor and Gloria Chung of Barbados.
The next CAREBACO championships will be held in Jamaica next year.
