The country’s top junior lawn tennis players all recorded comprehensive victories over weekend, when the Courts junior tournament got underway at two venues around Georgetown.
Africa Gentle, Guyana’s 12-year old junior sensation blasted her way to two victories in the girls’ U18 division to progress to the semi-finals. Gentle defeated Diana Bharat 6-0, 6-0 and later returned to maul Joannah Ramsammy 6-0, 6-0 at the National Park.
