New Amsterdam United defeated Hope FC 1-0 in their east zone matchup when action in the Berbice Football Association (BFA) U20 tournament continued at the Scott’s School ground in New Amsterdam on Sunday.
Gladwin Grant found the back of the net in the 10th minute for the eventual winners.
Over at the Number Five ground in the western zone, matches between Rosignol United and Hope FC ‘A’ and Monedderlust FC and Paradise FC were abandoned due to the failure of the respective teams to show up.
On Saturday at the same venue, home side Monedderlust gained a walkover victory against Hope FC ‘A’ in their western zone matchup while the fixture between Rosignol United and Paradise FC was abandoned due to failure of the teams to show up.
At the Scott’s School ground, the eastern zone matchup between Cougars FC and New Amsterdam United was also abandoned because both teams failed to show up at the venue.
