Last year’s gold medalist at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships, Devon Davis mirrored that achievement when he posed and flexed his way to the top of the podium once again on Sunday at this year’s edition in the Dominican Republic.
Davis, the reigning Giftland Office Max’s ‘Man of Steel and last year’s Mr. Guyana, used his sharp physique to slice through the competition in the flyweight division (132lbs).
The muscleman’s compatriots Mr. Guyana, Kerwin Clarke and Alisha Fortune also finished on the podium.
Clarke earned a bronze and completed the podium once again in the welterweight (165lbs) category.
Fortune, who has won numerous gold medals on the track as well as the bodybuilding stage, also snared a bronze medal. The multi-talented athlete competed in the Women’s Master’s category.
The sculpted gladiators as well as Coach, Mervin ‘Spongy’ Moses and president of the GABBFF, Keavon Bess who represented Guyana at several executive meetings as well as the General Assembly are scheduled to return later in the week.
Delegations from 29 countries and islands participated in the championship.
