As the number of vehicles in the country continues to increase the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) has moved to beef-up related services at all Regional Integrated Tax Offices across the country.
In a release GRA said yesterday that all Regional Integrated Tax Offices in Linden, Corriverton, Parika Lethem, New Amsterdam, Bartica and New Amsterdam will now be expected to offer services such as vehicle examinations for the purpose of registration.
Examinations will also be conducted to facilitate transfers, a change of use, change of colour, change of registration or to make duplicates of existing registration. Additionally, insurance of motor vehicle licenses for yellow cabs and enclosed goods vehicles will also be conducted.
All of these services ought to be available with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, vehicle owners in and around Georgetown can continue to access the alluded to services at GRA’s Camp Street Headquarters. The agency has noted that the offering of vehicle licensing related services have improved since the consolidation of itsr operations at the Camp Street location.
