About 1955h yesterday, a police patrol at Charity, Essequibo Coast arrested Michael Benn, 30 years, of Charity, Essequibo Coast, who had in his possession one Taurus .38 revolver, three live rounds and one spent shell. A police press release today said that at the time of the arrest and seizure Benn was on the Charity Public Road, in front of Xenon Disco with the gun in his hand discharging rounds in the air.
He is in police custody and charges will be laid shortly.
