Delon Glasgow was yesterday remanded to prison for the alleged murder of Jules Walker, whose body was found at Princes Street Canal on August 11.
It is alleged that between August 10 to 11, Glasgow murdered Walker.
He was not required to plead to the capital offence when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
Prosecutor Bharat Mangru said that on the evening of August 10, Walker was seen in the company of Glasgow and the following day Walker’s body was found in the Princes Street canal.
He said that Glasgow was then identified during an identification parade. He also said that there are 11 witnesses to testify in this case.
Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry adjourned the matter until November 4, when the matter will be called again for the start of the preliminary inquiry into the charge.
