The Guyana Forestry Commission (GFC), on behalf of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment and the Government of Guyana, is pleased to welcome two members from the Slovenian Forest Service to Guyana, Jurij Beguš and Dr. Aleš Poljanec.
A release from the Commission said that the two are in Guyana for two weeks. The objective of the visit to Guyana is to foster a partnership between the two countries and seek out areas of collaboration with a focus on capacity building in the areas of extension/community forestry, forest biomass management and participatory approaches in forestry.
