Winner of the East Coast Demerara Football Association (ECDFA) Stag Beer sponsored league BV/Triumph as well as the first and second runners up Buxton United and the Mahaica Determinators received their rewards yesterday during a simple ceremony at the Ansa McAL office.
Before the presentation of trophies and cheques to the top three teams, ECDFA president Rudolph Callender heaped praises on the conglomerate, while acknowledging the performance of BV/Triumph in the tournament earlier this year.
Callender also disclosed that talks are underway with another sponsor for the ECDFA’s senior league, with same expected to be closed off at month’s end, while the GFF has scheduled some of its Super League games for the BV/TU and Buxton grounds respectively.
