A team of officials from the Athletic Association of Guyana (AAG) a will this afternoon visit the national park where the athletics track is being re-laid.
According to a press release the AAG team will be at the venue from 5pm today.
The National Parks commission recently began work on the athletics track and according to reports, Damian Fernandes, Commissioner of the Protected Areas Commission (PAC), said that work will also be done on the rugby field in the National Park.
Meanwhile the AAG in the release also stated that they will launch the 11th staging of the South American 10K road race on Friday at the Guyana Olympic Association building, High Street, Kingston from 1pm.
