The retendering of a laboratory project for the Ministry of Agriculture’s Agriculture Sector Development Unit (ASDU) on Tuesday received three bids with two being from foreign companies.
The tender was for the supply, delivery, installation, commissioning, testing and training in the use of laboratory equipment for the veterinary diagnostics laboratory phase 1 for the ASDU. The bids were opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board at its office at Main and Urquhart streets.

The docking of the Guyana Defence Force’s vessel, the Tira Puku would now have to be retendered as no bids were received.
Meanwhile five bids were received for the supply, installation and commissioning of variable voltage/frequency converter drives at the Office of the President.
The Ministry of Labour, Human Services and Social Security received bids for the enclosure of the ground floor of its Whim, Berbice office.
The Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce received bids for the rehabilitation works to its head office building located on South Road, Georgetown.
Bids received for the National Parks Commission’s construction of a perimeter fence at Joe Vieira Park in Region 3.
A lone bid from Federal Management Systems was opened for provision of security services to the National Parks Commission.

The Ministry of Finance received bids for rehabilitation of western fence, cleaning and painting of interior and exterior walls and roof of the MISU building and the supply and installation of metal frame windows of the main building.
