At about 1305h today, police say that armed police ranks were on a motor vehicle patrol in Craig Street, Campbellville, Georgetown, when Morris Porter, 50 years, of Laluni Street, Queenstown, who is a friend of one of the police ranks, went up to the vehicle and engaged in a conversation with the rank.
During this, police say that Porter began to “play around” with the rank and pulled at his firearm. In efforts by the rank to secure the firearm, a round was accidentally discharged which struck Porter to his left side. He has been admitted a patient at the GPHC.
