(Jamaica Gleaner) The St Kitts-Nevis government says it will adopt new measures aimed at improving the treatment of CARICOM nationals living in the twin island Federation.
The Denzil Douglas government said it has been studying the ruling of the Caribbean Court of Justice in the case of Jamaican, Shanique Myrie who successfully challenged a decision by Barbados Immigration and Custom officials to deny her entry into the country in March 2011.
Speaking on his weekly radio show, Dr Douglas said the rights of CARICOM nationals cannot be denied and he announced the establishment of a special desk to deal with the concerns of Guyanese and Jamaican nationals who live in St Kitts.
