The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) World Cup Trophy will be arriving in Guyana next Wednesday.
The trophy is currently visiting 22 Caribbean countries and Guyana is the penultimate leg.
The World Cup trophy is made of gold and is awarded to the winners of the World Cup competition which is held every four years.
The FIFA World Cup trophy replaced the Jules Rimet Trophy which was awarded from 1930-1970.
Banks DIH Limited, who will be responsible for the tour has already commenced preparations as can be seen in the photo below where banners have been erected outside of the company’s Thirst Park location.
