A Brazilian national was yesterday morning shot and injured at Karesparo in the Potaro area and up to late yesterday afternoon efforts were being made to transport him to Georgetown for medical attention.
Police identified the wounded man as Antonio Carlos Pereira, 44.
Police in a press release stated that around 10am, Pereira was shot in his is abdomen by another man. No details were given as to how the shooting occurred and police reported that investigations were continuing.
