It will a clash of the titans when the sixth round of the Petra Organization/Courts Guyana in collaboration with Banks DIH Limited Pee Wee U11 football tourney continues today at the Thirst Park ground with eight slated matches.
In the first semifinal fixture, tournament favourites St. Puis Primary led by Bevney Mark, Kamacy Davis and Marcus Wilson will oppose East La Penitence and their duo of Fabian Boters and Leroy Yaw in a eagerly anticipated showdown from 12:00hrs. The second semifinal matchup at 13:00hrs will see last year’s runners up Tucville Primary, led by the talented DeAndre Linton and the physical Colwin Best, battling the always formidable Michael Oie-led West Ruimveldt Primary in a fixture that promises to be a humdinger.
In the battle for the positions 5-8, F.E. Pollard will face off with St. Margaret’s while Enterprise Primary will look horns with St. Gabriel’s Primary at 12:00hrs and 13:00hrs respectively.
Defeated champions Marian Academy will battle South Ruimveldt Primary at 10:00hrs while St. Stephen’s Primary will engage North Georgetown Primary at 11:00hrs in the battle of the 9-12 positions.
The battle for places 13 to 16 will see Ketley Primary opposing Redeemer Primary at 10:00hrs and J.E. Burnham Primary facing off with St. Ambrose Primary at 11:00hrs.
