Former Linden resident, Whiddon Sibdhannie, who now resides in Brooklyn, New York has thrown his support behind the 24th edition of the Kashif & Shanghai tournament which will see 24 of the nation’s top secondary schools vying for top honors.
Yesterday, Sibdhannie presented a sponsorship cheque to Kashif and Shanghai Organisation representative Andrew Major which will go towards purchasing a quantity of footballs and one of the latest editions of laptops that will go to the MVP of the tournament. This year’s competition kicks off on December 8 at the Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) ground, Bourda and concludes on January 1 at the Providence National Stadium.
