Courts Guyana Inc launched its big prize promotion for 2013, ‘Become a millionaire at Courts’, yesterday in grand style. Media personalities had the opportunity to be the first set of winners in the 2013 promotion.
Courts will make one lucky customer a millionaire every week until the end of the year. The company will also give away 12 consolation prizes or what it calls “Fabulous Courts prizes” every week.
According to a press release, the promotion began on November 7 and will continue until December 28 with one person becoming a millionaire every week. To have the opportunity to do so, customers must spend a minimum of $5,000.
According to Director of Finance of Courts Steve Nauth, “Starting next Thursday, and every Thursday thereafter, we will have one millionaire… Plus each week customers drawn will win fabulous prizes, such as washing machine, gas stoves, dining sets, television sets… and other prizes in store…”
Meanwhile media workers won both cash and kind. A TVG cameraman won $150,000, the most coveted prize at the launch yesterday, while others won home theatre systems and digital cameras among other prizes.
Nauth added, “Over the years the Courts Christmas Promotion has been the biggest in the country, no other entity has given back… a car, millions in cash, appliances for your home, or a free vacation. Each year, we at Courts Guyana, have improved the lives of many of our customers in a very tangible way, and we are very proud of that.”
He further announced, thrilling those gathered, that two brand new TCL sponsored cars that will be up for grabs during the promotion. All customers have to do to win a car is to buy a TCL TV 32” or over.
Customers will also being winning trips to Barbados and Saint Lucia among other Caribbean destinations. And the total cash value of the promotion is said to be over $30 million.
